What it is
Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide derived from the N terminal fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH 4-10). It is widely studied in Russian and Eastern European neuropharmacology research.
How it works
In research models, Semax is studied in pathways related to BDNF expression, melanocortin signaling, and neurotransmitter modulation.
What researchers explore it for
Researchers have explored Semax in cognition research, in neuroprotection research, and in research models adjacent to focus and attention pathways.
Safety and interactions
Semax is commonly co researched with Selank. Combinations of CNS active research peptides should be reviewed in protocol design. Semax is for laboratory research use only and is not for human consumption. Not medical advice.
Research notes
Peptide family: ACTH fragment-derived peptides. Frequently compared with Selank. Currently on PCAC review docket — Apothify is not shipping Semax at V1 launch.
